Anni Tracy is a photographer based in Portland, Oregon. Her work confronts the conventional perception of daily scenes and re-imagine phenomenological experiences of urban life into a purely two-dimensional conversation.

About the Artist.

Anni Tracy's photographic work is an ongoing aesthetic analysis of the paradox between the four-dimensional space and the inherent flatness of the image. She uses the urban landscape's strong line in an ambiguously unresolved manner, strategically placed to divide the picture plane; multi-textured surfaces to develop the viewer's interest; and the vibrancy of a city's Ganzfeld to use as her color pallet. Idealistically, Anni's goal is to confront conventional perception of daily scenes and re-imagine the phenomenological experiences of urban life into a purely two-dimensional conversation.

Anni graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in photography from Drexel University in Philadelphia. Her passion for visual exploration has influenced moves to New Mexico, Alaska and Colorado in recent years, as well as encouraging extended photographic tours around much of the world. Anni currently resides in Portland, OR, where she is Photo Editor and Insight Page Editor for the Portland Tribune, exhibiting her photographic works, volunteering with arts organizations and working freelance projects in her spare time.
